if you like sci-fi, axis by Robert Charles Wilson. its a sequel but you can read it alone if you like. awesome.

Rant, i didn't like it. it's so illogical you want to think your missing something, but there is nothing logical about it nor is there a hidden message. i think the guy (the writer who's name i cant spell) has now gone down the road of Koontz and became formulaic.

Reluctant buy, but I am glad I did.

Not much of a Dylan fan here but I had heard an interview with him when this first came out which I liked and so I put it on my checklist.

I have gained an understanding of Bob Dylan, I have no fucking clue how that will serve me but it was cool anyway!

Persepolis - Graphic Novel

I just finished Persepolis - comic book about an Iranian girl growing up. Very good and was made into a animated film recently.

Blindness By Jose Saramago.

A shocking read, it really had me disheartened in some spots, but it is such a truthful look at human kind that it should not be missed from most "to be read" lists.

This book was translated from Portuguese and Jose is a Nobel Prize winning author.

Just when you think you're a big girl and you have everything under control, life hands you the smackdown.

She's Come Undone by Wally Lamb was surberb.

The main character of the book very much reminded me of Ingacious from Confederacy of Dunces.
Also, the fact that the main character is a female and the book was written by a male is another thing that is amazing about the story.

I guess that is all I will say on that one.

I just got a new teaching job at a high school southeast of Tampa, in Gibsonton. I will be required to teach a couple Reading courses, which include a large amount of independent reading. I need your help so I can build my classroom library. I would love to introduce the kids to some great works of horror and fantasy, although books in other genres are more than welcome as well.
